Summary: 
This colorful autumn tale follows ten turkeys as they get ready for an important celebration. This story teaches about gratitude. There are also fun turkey facts in the back of the book. 

My review:
This book is absolutely adorable. I loved the bright eyes and cartoon -ish turkeys each with its own personality. The unexpected twist of a traditional family holiday is so fun. The overall message is clear.
The short list of facts in the back add to a child's natural curiosity and is a plus for the book.

Ms. Muse manages to make a simple counting book into a poetic masterpiece. I love it and it deserves. 5 stars!

About the Author: Angela Muse

Angela Muse[/caption] Angela Muse was born in California to a military family. This meant that she got used to being the "new kid" in school every couple of years. It was hard trying to make new friends, but Angela discovered she had a knack for writing. In high school Angela began writing poetry and song lyrics. Expressing herself through writing seemed very natural. After becoming a Mom in 2003, Angela continued her storytelling to her own children. In 2009 she wrote and published her first rhyming children's book aimed at toddlers. Since then she has released several more children's picture books and released books in her first young adult romance series, The Alpha Girls, in 2013/2014. Her husband, Ben Muse writes suspense/thriller books that can also be found on Amazon.

Review of The Christmas Owl by Angela Muse

The Christmas Owl  is a sweet picture book that tells the story of an owl that has fallen out of his perch.
He is hurt and cannot fly so he seeks out refuge in other animals homes.

Each animal is leery of this owl but eventually allows him to come in and shares their meal. The owl stays the night but moves on until he is eventually healed and can return home.

On Christmas Eve as he returns home he stops at each of his new found friends and returns with gifts of gratitude.

The illustrations by Helen H. Wu were phenomenal. The looked like each had been painted and came straight out of a Saturday Evening Post Card from Hallmark. Each intricately portraying the animal's home being told.

The story is written in rhyme and has an even flow to it. Angela Muse tells the story of each flawlessly. She manages to get the point across to the reader that kindness goes a long way and gratitude is key to happiness.

I loved this story book. It gets 5 stars.
