Book Title: Aoléon The Martian Girl: A Science Fiction and Fantasy Saga - Part 5: The Great Pyramid of Cydonia,
Category:  Middle-Grade, 130 pages
Genre: Science-fiction and Fantasy

Summary: Aoléon, Gilbert, Bizwat, Helios, and Zoot make it to their final destination - Cydonia where Aoléon’s parents are being held captive. They infiltrate a secret underground base and are confronted by a small army of sentrybots.

They finally meet Pax - the Martian who originally set them out on the mission to discover the truth about the Luminon and his plans to invade Earth. However Pax is not who he seems to be, and through a turn of events, they uncover the true power behind all that has been happening on Mars.

Will they be able to rescue Aoléon’s parents and save Earth from invasion?

My review:
This is the fifth book I have read from this author in his Aoleon series. You can read my first four reviews HEREHERE,HERE and HERE. This book picks right up where book for left off.

This is the final book in this series and I have to say, it did not disappoint. The author wrapped up everything in a nice huge bow but not before there was a lot of fighting. This was with lasers and all sorts of sci-fi-ish bombs. The photos in this book were once again, fantastic! I do not know how they are done but, wow!

One of the heroes looked like it was the end for him. How he overcame was interesting. The heroes won out in the long run as I would have expected. Earth was freed and the cows sent home.

It was sad to see the conclusion of this series. I had come to know all of the characters in the book and the relationships they had with each other. I was disappointed that a better conclusion to the two main characters could not be arrived but yet, it was understood. I of course cannot give that away, as you my readers, will have to read the book.

This book was sweet and the whole series exciting. I truly believe that middle grade kids will love the series no matter what gender they are.  I look forward to seeing more from this author in the near future. Kudos for a job well done!

This book gets 5 stars.

#Review: Aoléon The Martian Girl PART THREE by Brent LeVasseur #martiangirl #sci-fi #kidsbooks

Summary:
Spying on the Luminon, Aoléon and Gilbert uncover his plot to steal Earth’s milk cows and make the disturbing discovery that the Martian leader plans to disrupt Mars’s galact supply. The duo races to warn Aoléon’s father, Deimos, a manager at the galactworks, before the Luminon’s saboteur can act.

While still on the run, Aoléon takes her pilot’s exam so she can join the Martian intergalactic exploration fleet. However, during the test-run, something goes horribly wrong. The two are put in a life-threatening situation and only Bizwat, Aoléon’s Procyon commando friend, can save them.

Gilbert finally gets his chance to learn to skyboard, but the lesson turns into a test of skill as he and Aoléon are chased by the Royal Paladin Guard.

Will they survive?

My review:
This is the third book in a series of five  that I have read from this author. You can read my review of the first book  HERE  and review of the second book HEREThis is a middle grade book full of sci-fi kinds of adventure. This book does pick up where the last two left off so you would certainly want to read them in succession.

This time the martian girl, Aoleon is taking the Earth boy, Gilbert to learn how to skyboard. He seems to be anxious at first but turns out he is "a natural."  This is a good thing as this time their adventures lead them to major trouble and almost get them killed. You have to read the book though to find out how they manage. When I read it, I was biting what nails I have left hoping they would be able to make it to the next books. *grins*  Seriously, I adore this series and can hardly wait to find out what happens next for these two.

As in the first two book, the author gives a clear picture of what things look like. His amazing photographs pop out  in 3D form. So much so, I find myself thinking I can touch the characters of the book. As I have said before I think this makes the book so unique and a stand out from others in the same genre.

Get yourself a copy and then keep on reading the additional books that are to rapidly  becoming available.

5 stars!

#Review: Aoléon The Martian Girl PART TWO by Brent LeVasseur #martiangirl #sci-fi #kidsbooks

Summary:
Aoléon and Gilbert receive a special mission from PAX, a wanted criminal and leader of the Martian resistance movement to investigate the Luminon of Mars, who he suspects is planning an invasion of Earth to steal its milk cows. Gilbert has an encounter with the Luminess (the mate of the Luminon) and discovers something strange about her during a procession, and the duo are chased by the Royal Paladin Guard.

At Aoléon’s home, Gilbert meets Aoléon’s family, her sister Una, mother Phobos and father Deimos as well as her overzealous pet Zoot. He is also introduced to Bizwat, a covert operator and Procyon Commando, who uses his Saturn Pizza delivery job as a cover.

Gilbert then gets to visit the Martian Space Academy (Aoléon’s school) where he encounters Aoléon’s nemesis, Charm Lepton and her friend Quarkina, as well as receiving a history lesson on the Martian people by Plutarch Xenocrates. After class, Gilbert and Aoléon get to train in zero-G and Gilbert is treated to a Psi-ball match between MartianSpace Academy and Martian Science Academy.

My review:
This is the second book in a series that I have read from this author. You can read my first book review by clicking the link. This is a middle grade book full of sci-fi kinds of adventure. This book does pick up where the last one left off so you would certainly want to read them in succession.

This time the martian girl, Aoleon is taking the Earth boy, Gilbert around her home world. Trouble does seem to find them but they seem to manage to get out of it too. More and more people are learning that Gilbert is not whom he appears which could put him in danger.

As in the first book, the author gives a clear picture of what things look like. You can easily imagine the places and people that the characters meet. The only problem I had this time it was almost too descriptive, if that can even be possible. I actually got weighed down a bit by it. Some descriptions seemed almost too technical for this genre of book. Also, there were a couple of times that I was surprised by what was written in the form of expletives and a few typos but considering this was an ARC copy I can overlook that.  Those things did not draw me away from continuing to forge ahead with the adventure.

The most amazing thing about this book, as with the last one, was the photographs. The photos seemed to be in 3D and look like they jump out at you. This makes the book so unique and a stand out from others in the same genre.

Get yourself a copy and then keep on reading the additional books that are to rapidly  becoming available.
