#Review: Love Hurts by Carol E. Wyer

Summary:
Love does not always result in ‘happy ever after’. It is a powerful emotion that, in the hands of a damaged soul, can be all-consuming, dangerous and even lethal.

In this collection of short stories—some dark, some light-hearted—written by award-winning Carol E. Wyer, we discover what happens when love takes over.

Be prepared for a rollercoaster of emotions.

My review:
This book from author Carol E. Wyer was a nice departure from the kind of writing I had read from her before. She has a somewhat twisted sense of humor and certainly a way with words. I had to look up a couple of those words for meaning.

Love Hurts  is a collection of  five stories independent of each other but with one common theme, love in its many aspects. All of the stories had interesting twisted endings which made for an overall fun book to read.

I was quite impressed with the stories and was able to get into the characters. A couple of the stories were easily recognizable in the direction they were going but it was not a deterant.

I would love to see more short stories like this from the author.

5 stars!
