#Review: Destiny and Faith Go To Twincentric Academy! by Teddy O' Malley and Angie Dickens
Summary:
Destiny and Faith are going into second grade and their mom has a great idea. She's going to send them to a school for twins! They're not sure whether to be excited or terrified. Come join them and see what happens!
My review:
I am a sister to a set of twins. I know how twins can be with their dressing alike, weird twin sameness and also their differences. I thought this might be a cute book to read.
In a nut shell, Destiny and Faith are a set of twins that go to a school with other twins. They decide to trade twins and chaos ensues and then, it is all okay again. This is pretty much the whole story.
I can't say that I was overly impressed because I wasn't. This was such a short little story that I am sure is the beginning of what will be a cute little series. To me, this was more of a set up book about the girls and their personalities, along with other twins they will encounter.
I am not exactly sure what I was looking for but I did think there would be much more plot but there simply, wasn't. This is not considered a picture book but what picture there were, I did not think added to the story.
This little book is for the emergent reader ages 6-9 which is about right. For that reason alone, as it will be easy for a new reader to read, I give this book 3 stars.
